Residents experience a curriculum that is focused on comprehensive ambulatory care while maintaining an active hospital presence through our inpatient and obstetrics/newborn services. Our full-spectrum patient care allows for effective transitions of care, multidisciplinary care that focuses on social determinants of health, and advocacy for equitable policy change.

During their training, residents are given progressive responsibility and autonomy to ensure continuous growth paired with the support and wellness needed to succeed. Residents also have the opportunity to personalize their experience through Areas of Concentration, which include advocacy, faculty development, geriatrics, global health, HIV care, inpatient medicine, LGBTQ+ care, reproductive health, sports medicine, and urban underserved care. The faculty includes 14 full-time and 4 part-time physicians, as well as a dedicated behaviorist and pharmacist. There are also a wide variety of community preceptors who dedicate time to teaching our residents in and out of the hospital.

Since our founding in 1971 as one of the first ACGME-approved programs, Grant Family Medicine has valued preparing compassionate, outstanding family medicine physicians who can meet the needs and assist in improving the health of their communities. Our network consists of more than 400 graduates, and we look forward to continuing to grow and contribute to the community of family medicine physicians across the world.
