I had the privilege of spending three of the most incredible years of training in family medicine at Grant Medical Center. It was clear to me early in the residency interview process that Grant would provide me with the best preparation for my future plans of becoming a physician that can provide the full spectrum of care as a family physician. Grant had all of my requirements – stand alone program, resident autonomy with available support, training in a wide variety of procedures and an attentive faculty with a passion for teaching. Almost four years later and now as an attending myself, I have no doubt that I have made the right decision! Grant proved to be the absolute best place to become a family physician. Thanks to the countless hours spent one-on-one with the faculty, hospitalists and specialists, I am confident that I have a foundation of knowledge and experience that will serve me in my current practice of urgent care and my future plans in medical missions work. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside faculty who considered me as their colleague and who modeled excellent, comprehensive, and compassionate family medicine.
