Our residents and faculty care for their continuity patients at OhioHealth Family Medicine Grant, our state-of-the-art, custom-built office located downtown, across the street from our hospital. Our close proximity to the hospital allows us to provide true continuity of care to our community.
Continuity: Our residents start with their own panel of patients as interns and grow that practice throughout their 3 years of training.
Full Spectrum Family Medicine: We prepare our residents to practice in any setting. By graduation, they are more than prepared to provide patient empowering care, partner with patients and communities for chronic disease management, and triage urgent medical issues in a cost/resource effective way.
Practice Management: A longitudinal practice management experience is built into our curriculum to ensure residents learn contract negotiation, coding, staffing, and other office management necessities. During the PGY3 year, there is also a concentrated experience, which provides high yield pearls to prepare them for post-graduation.
Team-Based Care: Residents participate in daily huddles with multidisciplinary teams, including MAs, RNs, social workers, financial counselors, and community health workers prior to each office session. We are also the first CenteringParenting certified office in Central Ohio.
